The Accounting and Finance Society organised an “Educational Talk on Finance” on 1st June 2017 with multiple objectives. Firstly, to create awareness on the importance of starting financial planning early; secondly to teach student the correct ways of investment. Ultimately, the aim is to  prevent students from being trapped in the spiraling effect of the “money spinning industry” in Malaysia. Two speakers, namely Mr. Chew Huat Jin, the Capital Markets Services Representative’s License Holder (CMSRL) attached to RHB Investment Bank and Mr. Liang Yee Kai, the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) attached to Public Mutual Berhad were invited to share their experiences and insights on financial planning and investment with the students.
