FUSION - ONE FOR ALL, ALL FOR ONE

ACCA Business Game 2017, with the theme FUSION - ONE FOR ALL, ALL FOR ONE finalised its event on 24th November 2017. The qualifiers did their final presentation at the campus auditorium, witnessed by external judges, lecturers and students.

The main objective of the game was to provide an opportunity for students to incorporate theoretical knowledge learned from their courses and textbooks into the game. The game also aimed to develop the students’ soft skills, cultivate team spirit and creativity as well as enhance students’ cultural intelligence / quotient (CQ) in business. The game successfully encouraged corporate social responsibility whereby all the participants did allocate part of their profits earned as donation to people in need of financial support.

The participants showcased their businesses that started in the month of June 2017, followed by the last business trading day on 13th November 2017. The three finalists were chosen based on criteria such as ability to describe their business operations, and their sales performance and also how they manage their company. After going through rounds of challenging business days and presentations, Bon Appetit was crowned the champion followed by Melange Co. and Marvellous.co as the first and second runner-up while Ten Jia Yi, CEO from Melange Co., was awarded the best presenter award.

We were indeed honoured to have the presence of five experienced external judges: Mr. Clement Dass (ACCA), Ms. Ooi Su Yin (Dell), Mr. Eric Ooi (Jabil), Ms. Goh Sing Ying (Intel) and Mr. Loh Chye Teik (UHY Loh). Apart from being our judges, the judges also shared their rich experiences in the industry with the audience.
