Train The Trainer Camp

The Electronics Engineering Society, Penang Branch and Chumbaka Sdn. Bhd. organised Train the Trainer Camp on 20 to 22 February 2017. The three day camp managed to attract a total of 40 members from both year 1 and year 2 members of the Electronics Engineering Society.
The training for the Year 2 members was carried out by two external instructors, Ms. Rachel Khoo and Dr. Chew Yen Seng from Chumbaka Sdn. Bhd. while the Year 1 members were trained by Mr. Khoo Boo Wooi , Advisor to the Electronics Engineering Society and student leaders.
The participants were exposed to Arduino, an open source platform embedded system that is able to perform automated task. This platform successfully ignited the interest of the participants towards the field of electronics engineering. To hone their analytical and leadership skills, the participants were grouped into groups of two or three members and given specific tasks such as trouble shooting, brain storming, problem solving, etc. Apart from that, the participants were mentored on how to project their voice and deliver their presentation to potential audience and also taught how to take questions from the audience.
The Train the Trainer Camp Journey did not stop just here. Under the Young Innovate Challenge 2017, the participants were required to mentor 15 different secondary schools in Penang. Train the Trainer Camp was a great success as it had helped to inspire the participants towards innovation and also to build their confidence in proper deliverance of ideas to audience.
