The Voice of Rahman organised by the Music Society of TAR UC Penang Branch was a ten-star singing competition that has set a new standard for the local Penang entertainment scene.

Finalists sang their hearts out and received praises from the renowned and experienced local judges namely; Ms. Zoey Eu Sze Chuen, Mr. Rax Teh Soo Zin, Mr. Brian Chew Yi Bin (Winner, TVB8 International Chinese New Talent Singing Championship 2016) and Mr. Vincent Khor Wei Shin.

Out of the 65 TAR UC Penang Branch students who auditioned for the singing competition, 25 were selected for the semi-finals, and 12 were selected for the final competition held on 13 December 2018. The finalists received training from vocal coach Mr. Jason Goh Chin Seong.

The Voice of Rahman 2018 was truly a night to remember for all Tarcians. For the committee members who put in several months of hard work planning and organising this grand event, they have proven to themselves, their peers and lecturers that they have whatever it takes to achieve a goal successfully. Hopefully this would boost their confidence to achieve their dreams.

For the competitors, it was good fun and the exposure an opportunity to showcase their talents built up their confidence. As for the spectators, it was a great time to enjoy themselves and bond with others.
