In conjunction with the 42nd Thirumurai Recital Vizha 2019, the Indian Cultural Society (ICS), Penang Branch Campus collaborated with Malaysia Hindu Sangam, Penang State Council to co-host this annual event. This is the 2nd consecutive year that ICS is co-organising the event in TAR UC Penang Branch Campus. This Thirumurai Recital Vizha is also a competition which provides a platform to younger generation to show gratitude to God by singing devotional songs.

Approximately 1000 people came to TAR UC, Penang Branch Campus to witness the competition. The winner from this competition will represent Penang State at the National Level competition. Our ICS members also took this opportunity to raise funds by setting up food and fun fair booth. Ice-cream and rojak were selling like hot cakes.

Besides, TAR UC Indian academic and non-academic staff were also involved in this event. Lecturers and Admission staff were busy handling the education booth which was set up to woo Indian parents and teenagers to study in TAR UC. Various programs that are being offered and other information about career opportunities, scholarships as well as PTPTN loan were also shared with members of the Indian community.  Indeed, it was a valuable experience gained by ICS members in organizing such a grand event in TAR UC Penang Branch Campus.
