Mr. Benny Zie, the Head of Aero Parts and Marine Parts from DB Schenker, Germany, was invited to share tips on how to excel at work and be successful in one’s career with Year 2 Degree in International Business Management students.

Mr. Benny has extensive knowledge and experience in forwarding, logistics, sales and management in the shipping and transportation industry. He started his career working as the Key Account Customer Service Executive before leaving as Customer Service Manager in DB Schenker (M) Sdn. Bhd. to join Toll Global Forwarding (M) Sdn. Bhd as KLIA Branch Manager. He then left Toll Global Forwarding as Assistant General Manager of Central and Southern Region. 

In his sharing session, Mr. Benny spoke about his tertiary education years in Tunku Abdul Rahman College (TARC) and how his investment in education has helped in his career advancement. He emphasized the importance of networking, teamwork, self-confidence and not having double standard when managing workers.

Mr. Benny ended his sharing session with an important message to the students. He stressed the importance of having good English proficiency as a tool to communicate globally and having the right attitude (being initiative, not calculative and punctual) at the workplace.
