Thirty first-year DIN students who are taking the MPU-2232 Drama course visited Penangpac to watch Short and Sweet, an annual drama competition recently. This particular competition is directly relevant to what the students would be doing in their own coursework as each class will be staging their own 20-minute play on 2 January 2020.

In the 2019 Short and Sweet Drama Competition in Penang, there were a total of 9 plays and the length of the plays was 10 minutes each. Not only did the students who attended enjoy the performances tremendously, they also learned a lot as they were directed to note the different elements involved in staging a stage production, from the lighting to script, not to mention the acting. 

Datuk Dr Faridah Merican welcomed the students from TAR UC and expressed her thanks at the interest shown by the TAR UC students present in the theatre.
