In order to let students understand more about the practices of software development in real life industry, Computer Science Society (CSS) had organized a talk and invited Mr. Tay Shu Yih to be the speaker. All the students of TAR UC Penang, including those taking foundation, diploma or degree courses, were invited to attend a talk with the title “Software Development Practices in Industry”.

At 4:35p.m., our organizing committee shared the Google Meet link in order to let the registered students attend the talk by joining the Google Meet. Afterwards, at 5:00p.m., the moderator began the talk and introduced the speaker to all participants. The speaker proceeded to give the talk based on prepared slides. At about 5:40p.m., the speaker finished his talk on “Software Development Practices in Industry”. After that, a Q&A session was held for the students to ask Mr. Tay Shu Yih any questions related to the talk.

The participating students were very enthusiastic to ask the speaker questions to solve their problems, and the speaker also answered each student’s questions to make the students understand. After the Q&A session, Mr. Nikalus Swee, the Programme Leader of Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (FOCS), presented Mr. Tay Shu Yih with a Certificate of Appreciation, thanking him for giving a talk to the students of Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (Penang Branch Campus) to make them understand more about Software Development Practices in Industry. Lastly, our organizing committee shared the attendance code with all the participants to take their attendance.
