On 17 October 2022, a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed between TAR UMT and Yayasan Muhibah Tan Sri Fng Ah Seng. The MoA provided an additional research grant of RM100,000 which made up RM200,000 in total now to support a potential candidate to pursue his/her PhD programme in TAR UMT.
