In this 2021/2022 academic year, the Peer Support Society of the Penang Branch Campus has organized PSS Combined Camp 2022 with the Peer Support Society of the main campus on 22nd and 23rd January 2022.

The event lasted for 2 days. Our President, Poh Choo Han has invited Peer Support Society in the main campus to join as one of the organizers for PSS Combined Camp 2022. PSS Combined Camp 2022 acts as a channel for students from the two campuses to do networking among one another. The participants can also improve their communication skills through the sharing session in the event. The main objective of organizing this camp is to encourage participants to give peer support to others whenever it is needed. The event was held using Google Meet, an online platform.

To summarize, the PSS Combined Camp 2022 was aimed:

• To provide a platform for students from the two campuses to do networking.

• To cultivate a culture of caring through team building activities and programmes.

• To enhance PSS members’ self-confidence by discovering their unique abilities and characteristics.

• To improve PSS members' communication skills through activities and sharing sessions.

The PSS Combined Camp was started with an opening ceremony. It was initiated with a speech given by the Organizing President, Poh Choo Han. After the opening ceremony, participants were invited to join different breakout rooms to participate in the ice breaking activity. The participants had a chance to introduce themselves to others and they got to know other members better.

There were station games and a sharing session on the second day. For the station games, participants were expected to win the games so that they could get clues to help Aiko (the character created for the station games). In the sharing session, participants were required to use some communication skills to give support to one another in different scenarios.
